1. Apply full P, K and 20% N of the recommended dose as basal with well decomposed organic manure @ 5 t/ha for early seedling vigour
2. Top dress N 25% after rain.Top dress should not be done in the nursery
3. Insitu rain water conservation should be done
4. Apply life saving irrigation followed by mulching
5. Application of need based PP chemicals. i.e For control of stem borer spray Cartap Hydrochloride 250gm/acre of water For control of Blast spray Tricyclazole 0.6 gm/litre of water.
6. Short duration drought tolerant variety like Khaandagiri, Kalinga and non paddy crops (Greengram, Blackgram, Sesamum etc.) may be taken

1. 20:40:20 NPK Kg/ha Basal application with Sodium Molybdate @ 3 gm/10 kg seed, 2% KCL + 0.1 PPM Boron to overcome drought.
2. Contour bunding cultivation across the slope, mulching & life saving irrigation.
3. For control of YMV Vector spray Acetamiprid or Thiomethoxam 50gm/acre
4. Seed treatment with Carboxyn + Thiram 2gm/Kg of seed
5. For control of powdery mildew spray wettable sulphur 5gm/lit of water

1. 20:40:40 NPK Kg/ha applied as basal seed treatment with Rhizobium culture 20 gm/Kg
2. Irrigate at critical stages of crop Branching, flowering and peg formation stage Summer ploughing

4. For control of Termite and White grub attack drench (soil) with chloropyriphos 4 ml/lit.
