Mrs Manjulata Nanda is an ambitious lady belongs to the village Rupapalli. She has 1 acre of land in which she cultivate paddy & vegetables. The income generated from this was not sufficient and for more income generation she contacted KVK, Scientist. After SWOT analysis she was advised to take up mushroom cultivation as one of the income generating activity which gives early return and does not require any land. She was trained on mushroom cultivation and one FLD was conducted in her backyard area. After taking loan from the bank she started mushroom cultivation and for marketing she contacted local hotels and nearby officers quarters.

Mrs Nanda is one of the successful mushroom grower of this region and she cultivating both paddy straw mushroom in Kharif and summer and Oyster mushroom in Rabi season. Through mushroom cultivation last year she got Rs. 1 lakh. Now a days she motivate other SHG group members for start mushroom cultivation .
